Bold and easy to read. You have to constantly push yourself like you are a product. Because you are a
product. The comics don’t get that don’t want to make a lot of money. And I do. I want to keep my
integrity but I want to make a lot of money to be able to have the freedom to do what I want to do.

What your thoughts on the banning of the N-word?

I think Damon [Wayans] is right. Why would I let the white dude dictate to us the last time we can say it?
I’m not going to let people censor me. If it fits the bit, I’m doing it. I don’t think comics should do it, do
it, do it and it has no point to it. That’s not good. But that’s with any word. The Laugh Factory fined me
three times when they first started doing that. But it’s in the context of a bit.

How much did they fine you?

Whatever your check is. I dealt with it.

What do you want people to take away from your comedy?

That I can be edgy, urban and still be intelligent. That I can go out, be clever, witty and still be
entertaining. I want them to be, “Wow, he really put in work. He’s funny as hell. He said some serious
shit. I had a good time.”
