Helium Comedy Club to Host Unique Singles Night

Date My Text will bring its unique blend of text messaging, the fun and energy of an evening out, and the brain-teasing challenge of trivia to Helium Comedy Club, Wednesday, November 11, 2009. The $25 registration fee for the evening includes the Date My Text experience, and a ticket to the comedy performance at Helium Comedy Club.

“We’re really excited about offering this new event at our club,” said Megan Dinan, Group Sales Manager of Helium Comedy Club. “It’s a bit of an experiment, but we like the innovative twist on the singles scene, and we want our club to be able to offer people great ways to meet others and have a fun night out.”

Date My Text partners people up in teams of two, for multiple rounds of trivia competition. Partners are rotated after each round, which ensures that everyone gets a chance to meet as many people as possible during the event. Each team creates its own name and “texts” its answers, which are immediately projected on a large screen for everyone to see and laugh at together.

The privacy of every participant is protected, through an innovative use of technology that masks private cell phone numbers during competition, freeing participants to share their name and phone number when they choose.
