Comedian Inks Pilot Deal with Comedy Central

Comedy Central has ordered Purgatory, a pilot that will feature a weekly rant on topical issues hosted by comedian Bill Burr, Variety.com reports. Burr will take on a single topic and explore it using stand up, sketch and digital shorts. The comedian described the pilot as like “Keith Olbermann and Bill O’Reilly … with no reading, no research — just strong opinions.”
