ABC has announced the cast for the new season of Dancing with the Stars, premiering Monday, September 20 at 8pm ET. Comedian-actress Margaret Cho will be among the 12 celebrities heading to the dance floor this season.

HBO’s Bored to Death, starring Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis, kicks off its second season on Sunday, September 26 at 10pm ET/PT. Bored to Death follows the misadventures of this noir-fiction-obsessed writer, who moonlights as an unlicensed private detective listing his services on Craigslist. Guest stars this season include comedians Patton Oswalt, Jim Gaffigan and Jim Norton.
Emmy Winner Announced for Writing for Variety, Music or Comedy Series

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences awarded the 2009-2010 Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards for programs and individual achievements at the 62nd Emmy Awards presentation at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles this past Saturday night. The Colbert Report won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series for “The Colbert Report #5076 (in Iraq)” (Comedy Central), beating out the nominated writing teams of Saturday Night Live (NBC), The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central), The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien (NBC) and Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO).
Comedian Tapped to Host GSN’s ‘Newlywed Game’

Comedian and talk show host Sherri Shepherd will take over as host of The Newlywed Game, when the show returns for its fourth season this November on GSN (Game Show Network). Shepherd will tape 65 episodes in September, and the series will move production to New York City from Los Angeles. Season Four of The Newlywed Game will premiere on Monday, November 1 at 6pm (ET/PT).
