Lee Camp’s Sold-Out DVD Taping Prompts Encore Show
March 10, 2010 by Stage Time Magazine
Political comedian-writer Lee Camp will film his hour-long DVD, Chaos for The Weary, March 26 at the Tank Theater in New York City. The sold-out taping of Chaos for the Weary will include a special in-person introduction by Kelly Carlin, daughter of late comedy legend George Carlin. Due to high ticket demand, an encore show will be held April 29 at 7:30pm.
In addition to playing NYC comedy clubs on a regular basis, opening for legendary comic and activist Dick Gregory, performing at the 2006 and 2009 Montreal Comedy Festival and the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver, Lee has headlined 500 colleges in the past six years.
Later this year, Lee will appear on Showtime’s new Green Room series in an episode with Bob Saget, Sandra Bernhard and Roseanne Barr. He will also be featured in comic Paul Provenza and photographer Dan Dion’s new book Satiristas!: Comedians, Contrarians, Raconteurs & Vulgarians, set to hit bookstores on May 11.
